
Nebojsa Romčević
(Screenplay)
Born in Belgrade in 1962. Playwrigher, screenwriter, and TV writer.
Achieved MA and PhD degree in Theory of Drama.
Professor at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, where he teaches History of Theatre and
Theory of Drama.
He wrote fifteen stage plays, two movie scenarios, several TV dramas, and two long-lasting sitcoms.
His plays have been translated and staged in many European countries (England, Germany, Spain, Russia,
Ukraine, Poland, Check Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Bosnia...)
Awards: three times winner of the most prestigious theater prize – Sterijina Nagrada for the best play;
movie Cordon (dir. by Goran Marković) won Grand Prix at the World Movie Festival in Montreal (Canada),
and a Ctitic Award in Monpelleir (France); TV play Cemetery Street won a Second Prize at the World TV
Drama Festival in Plovdiv (Bulgaria); sitcom serial Love, Habit, Panic enlisted in world’s ten best sitcom
at the Rose D’ Or festival in Luzerne (Swiss).
